When it was unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2013, the 72-metre superyacht Axioma made history. It was snapped up on the show’s penultimate day and has been winning awards and plaudits ever since.
Unusually for a superyacht of its size, Axioma, which has a crew of 20 including a Michelin star chef, is available for charter. Up to 12 guests can enjoy life on board, experiencing the ultimate in holiday luxury and discovering hidden parts of the Mediterranean or the Caribbean that are normally impossible to reach.
On-board facilities include a private cinema, spa, gym, pool and deck Jacuzzi.
Guests who have enjoyed the incomparable Axioma experience include F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton and Kendall Jenner, whose picture of herself on board became the most viewed image in the history of Instagram, with 2.5m shares.
Axioma’s five staterooms, comprise a master suite, 3 VIP staterooms and two twin cabins, all on the main deck. The yacht’s “wow factor” comes from the spectacular atrium gallery at the aft end of the main salon, which was created by combining two desks, giving it a uniquely light and airy feel.
The yacht’s designer, the late Alberto Pinto, fashioned a contemporary summer-house style so guests feel they are staying in a comfortable home rather than a hotel. A private owners’ deck gives complete privacy when desired. The yacht’s ultra-modern stabilisation system reduces roll at its cruising speed of 14 knots.
Guests plan the itinerary for their trip, choosing the destinations. Captain Mark Giblin and Chief Stewardess Suzy Sawers can organise everything from dives in secluded waters to silver service dinners on private beaches. But the on-board dining is a highlight of any trip; chef Stephen Paskins has more than 20 years experience in Michelin star and AA Rosette restaurants around the world and specializes in classic French and modern European cuisine. This year he won the coveted MYBA Chefs Award for yachts over 47 metres.
Axioma, which was awarded the Judges’ Special Commendation at the prestigious World Superyachts Awards, is available for charter from September 1-19. Chartering Axioma costs €525,000 a week (before tax and exclusive of APA) but there is a 10% discount for bookings before August 15th. It is also available for winter charger in the Caribbean or the Maldives.
YPI Charter is the luxury yacht charter division of Yachting Partners International, world leader in chartering, constructing, buying and selling, managing and crewing the world’s finest luxury yachts. YPI sold Axioma to its current owners and manages the yacht for charter; their experts can advise on all aspects of the holiday.
